In a move that received plenty of positive attention, PepsiCo ANZ announced it will increase its paid parental leave from 12 weeks to 16 weeks and its paid leave for secondary carers from one to two weeks. The increase is in line with PepsiCo’s commitment to supporting working families and their wellbeing.
The increase to PepsiCo’s parental leave policy puts it well above the average of 9.7 weeks and follows the company being awarded the Workplace Gender Equality Agency’s (WGEA) Employer of Choice citation for gender equality for the third year in a row. PepsiCo was the only food and drink organisation on the WGEA’s 2016 citation list.
