Res Publica was founded in 2003 by Gabriel McDowell and Melissa Cullen. Since then, Res Publica has established itself as one of Australia’s leading PR consultancies, winning the top honours from two of the industry’s most celebrated awards programs – the Public Relations Institute of Australia Golden Targets and the AdNews PR Agency of the Year Award. 

With over 35 years’ industry experience between them, Gabriel and Mel have been responsible for developing and implementing numerous campaigns which have established strong connections between brands and consumers; built and safeguarded corporate reputations; forged effective relationships with governments; and successfully managed issues.

To ensure that Res Publica offers its clients consistent quality of service, Gabriel and Mel lead a skilled team of consultants at our Sydney headquarters. We also have a network of highly experienced contractors around the country to complement our permanent resources. All our work is delivered in accordance with our in-house code of conduct, which has been developed to make sure that we always apply industry best practice and are transparent and accountable to our clients.
